The first book in this series (Last Light) was captivating and led me to continue reading the next two books in the series - True Light is the third. The second book dealt with learning to live with the catastrophic event while efforts are being made to re-established life and order. But, I have had a hard time finishing the third book. In book one of the series, a solar pulse destroyed all computer and electronics on earth and threw us back into a pre-1900's style of living. This was so fascinating to me and actually caused me to start thinking how my family might survive after such an event. However, by the third book in the series, the focus seems to be more character development with a predictable plot - a murder committed and framing of the innocent. The intrigue of the solar event is lessening as life begins to take on a little normalcy again. I give it four stars because it did not hold my interest like the first two in the series, but also emphasize that my reading preference definitely will not be that of others.. If I ever get through to the end, I may have to come back and edit my comments!!!!

Great Book after I read the first one I had to get th kindle versions of the rest of the series so I could immediately read. This book made me think long after I finished reading it. Also made some interesting conversations with family and friends, discussing if the premise of the book happened to us.
The entire series impressively pictures what will happen in the U.S. when electricity and things digital suddenly won't work all around the world, which could very well happen. The plot lines are excellent, and the author has researched the topic well. The way people act is highly believable.
This series is amazing! Once I started I couldn't put it down. Love the way the author took each event and would draw me in. I was in tears for parts of it.
I just have to say the idea of living in a time when we lose every comfort in life and have to go back to a simpler life is in itself a great challenge it will bring out your true character great book I could not put it down now I can’t wait to read the final fourth book.
I had not read any Terri Blackstock books prior to this series. The premise of all electricity being out, civilization struggling to survive and the main characters being challenged in their beliefs and faith in God was very intriguing to me.

This book delves more in the life of a boy who has been stigmatized by his father's evil behavior and yet perseveres through not only the challenges of what people think of him, but false charges of a criminal nature, assault and more.

The Restoration series covers the thoughts, feelings and actions of enough characters to keep you engrossed in their journey. I enjoyed that it moved quickly and did not become cumbersome with lengthy details and discussions.
This is the third book in Terri Blackstock's Restoration series. I'm a huge fan of this series and an avid Blackstock reader. The entire series is brilliant, but this story was one of my favorites because I loved Mark's character. I love his determination and honesty. He's got true grit. I also loved seeing Deni develop and grow. Throughout the series Blackstock's characters grow and learn, but Deni reminded me of myself and it was a really interesting perspective for me. There's one particular scene where Deni helps Mark do something that's not such a fun task and that most people would argue isn't worth the effort, as Deni did. But she helped Mark because he was dead set on doing what was right. I love the heart of this series, and I highly recommend all four of the books.
I quite got into this series--read all four books. I guess it was the premise behind the EMP knocking out so much, and the implications for life in the modern world was a fascinating concept and drew me in. I also enjoyed journeying with the characters. Worst part--seeing Deni keep reverting back, going back to places you thought she had grown beyond, and others not seeing or being able to speak into it in a healthy way either. That was just kind of weird, almost ... not even realistic I felt. Ah well. Overall, an interesting read...set of 'reads'. o)
